What? lol No, seriously, I'd be bummed out. It's not that I care if other people are gay and stuff, you oughta know that by now, but it's just not something that I would want to deal with personally. If I'd had a kid myself, with my own DNA and everything, who turned out to be gay, I'd be okay with it and say, "Sure. Go ahead. It's your life. Live it how you want. Fly to Ohio and hook up with XYZ. His boyfriend is ugly anyway." lol If, on the other hand, I'd actually paid good money to have a kid, I'd be pissed off if it grew up with any defects and demand my money back. lol

Listen, you're going to run across all sorts of people who have all sorts of opinions about things.
You say that being gay is not a defect. Well, swell. Some folks don't see it that way. When those folk start threatening you or saying that everyone gay needs to be round up and sent to concentration camps, I'll worry. In the meantime, recognize that it's merely people trying to get your goat.
Like me and my hebephilia. Don't make a big deal out of it (like this!) unless you want the attention for fun and profit.

It wasn't hate speech so I wonder just how they intend to deal with it.

Inasmuch as I often disagree with Duke Stratosphere and he has often castigated me and others on these posts, I personally don't believe his posts as cited above are "hate speech" in any way. One of them is very humerous in a unique way. My opinion for what it is worth.

Re: The Rules - Discuss
I agree with Camp David and Kev. I don't really see Duke as the 'hate speech' kinda guy. And I've argued on behalf of gay marriage et al, so it's not like I have some agenda or issue either. To a certain degree, we all need to have thick skin with the sort of subject matter that is dealt with in MiniThink. I don't have a problem with Duke or XYZ, so I don't want it coming across as taking sides, but I don't think Duke meant anything hateful by any of his comments. As CD said, my two cents for what it's worth.

Are you impressionable enough to be led in a revolution to reinstate postcounts?

I would hope so. Right next to the Testament and Anthrax patches.

So, how long are perma-bans good for? And does violating one's bannage merit a trip to BB jail?

Well, permabans are exactly that: permanent. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200, do not come back and try again. If you violate any ban (temp, perma, or BigBrother), you get heavier punishment (well, there's nothing bigger than a permanent ban, so we just keep blocking ways you try to circumvent the system).

I see. I think that was before my time. I didn't start frequenting the forums until last fall (other than the occaisional trip to balloon help). Is that (CompUSA et al) the same as Barney F?
