December Tournament
So, I was thinking we should do an event sometime in the next month, when most of us are available. It would be nice to see more than four of us on the server at one time! Hopefully we can do something like CTF or Siege, or a good ol' FFA saberfest.
So let's start by posting when will will not be able to attend an event, so we can narrow down our choices. Post days you won't be available (exams, holidays, etc), and times of the day which are least convenient (please list a timezone!). I'll start:
Dates I cannot attend:
13th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd - 31st
Least convenient times of day:
None really, unless it's like past midnight MST

Siege! Siege!
Dates I cannot attend:
6th (tomorrow
), and perhaps some others that I don't know about yet
Least convenient times of day:
Anything after 11pm GMT (so I can play until ~5pm EST)

Re: December Tournament
Most dates will work for me, but i'm in the CET timezone and havve to go to school during the weeks, which makes timing not quite easy. I cant say a specific time that would be best for me, but I usually are only available from about 12 am EST to 6 pm EST (during school, but on weekends I can play until 9 EST)

Re: December Tournament
Hey guys!
It has def been a while but by this thursday I'll be back on my reliable DSL connection again, and maybe have a better computer to boot, so I will be down for any and all kinds of play.
I don't know if Fluk3 talked to you but my connection here at University is plagued by high ping. The last time I tried to play him it was at a constant 999, but whatever, once I get home it should be down to at least 80 or so.
So I'll be back home until Jan 5th, but from the 24th to prob the 1st I'll be gone again (NYC). I will most likely be able to play anytime from 10am to 1am EST.
Hope to see you guys soon

Re: December Tournament
I'm set again thanks to the help of Jeap and VD
I'm off from school after the 17th, but a weekend before then is okay too. Christmas and Christmas eve are pretty much ruled out, but other than that I'm down with most things.
I can't make it most saturdays from 12-3 pm EST, and morning EST sunday. I can't stay up late on school nights, so I'm supposed to be in bed by 11.
but with other stuff, it's fine with me.
Interesting how things turn out isn't it?

Re: December Tournament
Okay, looking at everyone's schedule it look like the better times are on the weekends, and when everyone begins the break.
Possible Dates (no specific time of day set yet):
Saturday, the 11th
Sunday, the 12th
Sunday, the 19th
Monday, the 20th
Tuesday, the 21st
As for times, it seems that sometime midday/afternoon EST would be best. I thought about maybe the 15th or 16th, but some people may have classes during the day, and not be able to participate until the evening EST, which wouldn't be that great for those overseas.
Anyways, if everyone could just say which day works out best (or worst), please comment.
We should also think about what rules we will have, such as allowing guests, maps/gametypes we want to try, length, maps/skins that need to be distributed (see other thread), and if anyone is willing to possibly stay longer.

Hmm. That would mean I would have to get up at 8AM, which I dont like to do, plus it would mean I could only play for a little bit. Any way we could do it a bit later? Im talking at least 3 hours.

Re: December Tournament
As its the Christmas break, Any day is fine, its just the times that matter (cant be before 2PM EST and after 4AMEST)
Unless of course my parents think up a random thing to get out of the house. I hate that, they always seem to do it whenever I have like a tournament people are expecting me to go to

Re: December Tournament
Monday it is. 3PM EST sound good?
And we should try to do at least one CTF/TFFA match. I'm not sure the duel gametype is a good idea, as players are stuck watching two people try to saber each other, which can last up to 10 minutes. So instead, we could just do a FFA and coordinate multiple duels to happen at the same time. If we wanted to tally scores, could just look at the server log, because JA+ keeps track of private duels.

Re: December Tournament
Something has come up, so I probably won't be able to be there for the first half or so.
I'll probably be back home early enough to catch some people still on. Hope it goes well.
