Damage Control
(can you please make this a sticky someone?)
Ok, since an entire year at these forums just went down the smurfing toilet, we have to begin some damage control measures for now. Here are a few suggestions (they may sound radical, but hear me out please. I thin they may be necessary). I also realize that the problem will be exacerbated by the fact that I won't be playing for a while, but I will do my best to be here in spirit.
1. Stop individual Omega and X squad planning, perhaps even merge them.
Again this is just my TEMPORARY suggestion! Since we just lost a year of posts, perhaps we should stick together more as a united MA UT2K4 division.
2. Get our Thursday night practices going again.
No one shows up for them anymore. Let's get them going again!
3. Plan a more official night for Assault and Onslaught practice.
It used to be Sunday night on MA3, didn't it? Well, suffice to say, too many people forgot about it. We really need to practice AS and especially ONS a lot more, because our clan seems to be very weak in that department.
4. More G5 and XMG matches.
You heard what I said! We need to learn from people that are, admittedly, better at some gametypes than we are.

That's it for now. Please look at my ideas, and comment on them earnestly. After all, this may be an oppotunity for change that we may never get again.

I was there last Thursday and Doc made it too.
I too thought about posting something about dumping the squad forums in the Officers forums. To me we have PMs and emails to keep in touch with our old squadmates. Agreed united we stand.
Map vote is on MA3 if one wanted to play AS or whatever vote for it. I play where ever I find my MA buds in the buddy list. The game type matters little.

Ok, good to see that no one's face melted off when I proposed that first idea. So we're going to do it then?
Second, I know that a few of us know about the Thursday night practices, but we really need more of the clan to show up. (Perhaps because of a false illusion that these practices are an Omega Squad-exclusive thing? I don't know.)
Third, why dont we just play more ONS on Thursday night on the Omega Server? It wouldn't kill us, would it?
Fourth, It's good to see that both the G5 and XMG clans are still in touch. I would anticipate playing both of them, if it weren't for my little problem with playing online. Sorry. Anyways, keep up the good work, and may I, never being here in the UT99 days, live to see a prosperous MA Unreal Tournament Division for myself!

So shall I combine the Omega and X squad forums then? It sounds like it might be better to shut them down and provide read-only access to everybody with access to either squad's usergroup. All secret clan related planning probably should be done in XP&G henceforth. Give me your opinions of this please.

I guess that would be up to BJ and Groid. Groid is still after all the leader of X. In the last 6 months really the only X members posting were me, Gator, Que, TQ and Sifl. Most of those posts were on WoW.

Whatever is the greater need is fine by me. I haven't been active in the 2k4 realm because of system and network constraints anyways.
