What's your Mac's gender?
What gender is your Mac? I think I have a female iMac, but I'm not sure. Any way to check?
And now for something completely different: 100 posts! And on my birthday! Yay!

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
My Mac's gender is masculine. And by no coincidence, its sex is male. So how about the better question. Is your Mac's gender & sex the same or different?

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
You know what? I have no idea... I named it Harper which is pretty gender neutral. However, the only other names I was considering were female (Mystra, Amnestria, etc...). My PC is male no doubt, I named it Whistler after a droid with masculine programming, and the Yosemite was also male named after Artoo, another droid with masculine programming.

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
Which Mac, though. My G4 Dual 1.25 Gig is too butch to be anything but Male. My G3/400 was too effeminate to be anything other than a cross-dresser.
My G3/400 PowerBook is most definitely female (love those sensual curves).
By extension, this G4/1 Gig is also female - but that could change. Haven't had her long enough to pluck up the courage to do a physical yet!

This has got to be one of the top ten stupidest online posts in the history of internet technology. You are implying that computers are alive, this leads me to believe you have no life, and that you should run outside and go jump in the river.

Actually, it being winter (and in the teens (Fahrenheit))) I don't jump into the river at all. Come summer, I like to jump in the river all the time. Refreshing way to beat the heat.

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
I suppose they're neutral; on my tower, my main (OS 10) drive is named Spot (get it? X marks the spot...Well, I thought it was funny), and the big drive is named Gigantor (after the vintage sci-fi cartoon character). One of the powerbooks is named Pillbox (because it's really small) and the other is named Crash Box (because it does).

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
My Mac is a 333 iMac, lime named HAL 9000 (the Lime and Blue were male, teh Orange and Strawberry are Females, and the Purple one, Im not too sure of, but I am guessing it is a Shonen ai comuter whos gender preference is undetermined), and he is most definitely Male, as for the new one I plan on getting will most like ly be female, mainly because both the iBook abd the iMac G4 look feminine, theyre too pretty,
8500 150 1.5g 48mb / G3 300 30g 260Mb
iMac 333 40G 256mb / Mini 1.25G 40g 256Mb

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
Well, my chunky 8600 beast is way to big to be female, so i suppose anything of that size can only be considered a man beast. Looks like its male. its always conected to my friends female G4 (he calls her sally) so i guess it would be weird to have a lesbian computer network, although come to think of it, that wouldnt be so bad for the male 1400 pb. Anyone for a threesom?

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
I guess my TiBook is female because of the slot-loading drive
However, my Power Mac G3 is definitely male - big, bulky, strong, and the CD-Rom drive pops out with the push of a button.

I'm still trying to figure out if you're a girl posing as Macboy4139, or a boy posing as a girl, and a bit confused sexually. <shrug> laughinol

Now that you mention it, I guess all computers are actually female because the USB, Firewire, ethernet, SCSI, paralel, phone, PS/2, COM, etc. ports are always the female end! (oYo)

Re: What's your Mac's gender?
My G4 used to be called Macintosh HD, but after a reformat for Jaguar, it's called OS X.
I guess that makes it an "it".
My other computer is called "My Computer"
