It's also not a lie if it is the truth.

But while we are on cliche's - there's a hymn that sums it up - a classic hymn -

"You ask me how I know He lives,
He lives within my heart"

That's the honest truth. His presence most certainly is felt, and is more real than you can imagine.

Assuming everything is exactly as you believe it to be.

My question is, and it's in all seriousness, how is a moral, fallible, flawed human being -- which we all are, of course -- supposed to know when it's God that's talking to them?

My answer, "in all seriousness," is that mankind knows God, knows how God speaks, and knows how God urges action. Thus we have faith that our leader (President George W. Bush) is divinely inspired. I trust God and his Son and, thus, our President.

Bush shouldn't even be running the country on religious principles. Look at the Taliban- wasn't that run on religious principles? The only difference I see between the Taliban and Bush's extremist right wing screw the county into the ground agenda is that Bush hasn't starting executing people yet. And the religions are different.
Oh wait! He has! Isn't this the same guy who had two mentally ill criminals killed in Texas?
And how do we know Bush isn't lying about this whole God thing? The whole Christian agenda the Bush adminstration is pushing is only Christian for two reasons:
1) Christians are extremely gullible. The mere fact that they are Christians and believe in God makes them gullible. It takes a pretty low I.Q to be a Christian, and the Christians with high I.Qs are wasting their time when they could be finding a cure for cancer.
2) Christians also make up the majority of the country. Bush (excuse me, I mean Rove and Cheney) is turning half the nation into drooling idiots.
And since the Bible is one giant hypocritical document, Bush (excuse me, Rove and Cheney) can use it to mean whatever they want.

Just another reason I'm not Christian. Or anything else.
