Networking a Ps2?

Hey guys, I have a ps2 and a wireless network but I was wondering what hardware I need to connect my ps2 to the internet pretty cheaply. The only problem is my router is airport express with only one port.

DO i need another router or would a y-cord or hub work? confused

Re: Networking a Ps2?

First you have to buy the PS2 connection package which will include a box with an Ethernet port on it to plug into the back of your PS2.  Then you'll either need to run an Ethernet cable from your PS2 to your Airport Base station, or you'll need to buy a wired to wireless bridge such as another Apple Airport Extreme Base station or something like the Linksys WET-11 or WGA54G.  The bridge will connect to your PS2 via Ethernet cable and then connect wireless to your Apple base station, thus "bridging" the connection between the two.

Using an Airport Extreme base station, which ethernet cable connects to the Airport from the cable modem? Which cable uses the WAN port and which should connect to the PS2?

Re: Networking a Ps2?

You always connect your Internet live Ethernet cable to the WAN port on Apple Airport Base Stations.  The other port, the LAN port, is what you connect devices in your home or office to.  You can either connect one device, such as the PS2 into the LAN port, or you could attach a hub or switch to the LAN port, thus allowing you to plug in as many devices as you have ports on the hub or switch.
