Re: Halo patch released (Dec 16, 2004)

Oh yeah: big improvement overall. Scary to think how much you've been missing, but that was always some of the point in posting my screens- saying it should, and eventually with luck, will, look like this.

Still, some things seem a little off. The 'Sarge in Ghost' screen shows the Ghost with running lights too diffuse. Will send.

Sent something else meanwhile- I got a million (almost).

I also noticed that the Ghosts dont have sidemarkers in MP.  Intentional?

Immediately, a large toad leaped into her lap and looked at her as if it wanted to be loved. "Grep," it exclaimed. "Don't mind him," explained the Mad Hacker. He's just looking for some string."

Bat's Garage (7.32MB, .tga)

GE's Garage (2.7MB, .pdf) *Working*

The color on the surrounding lights is off.  My windshield is definitely more transparent.  I'll install a clean Halo today and do some more screens.

I really honestly can't tell the difference in the quality between the targa and the pdf.

That's okay, I can't tell a difference between an AIFF and a MIDI.

Total burn.

Jeap, the pics aren't the same.  One was taken by Bat on his PC one was taken by me on my G5.  It's a shader comparison done using the highest quality captures available.  To push things my way, some of my .pdfs just happen to take into account my second monitor's desktop wink

According to MacUpdate, there's a 1.5.1 patch which fixes an issue with drop shadows as well as the rendering problem with R200 chipsets (Radeon 8500-9200) and No Shaders.
