Cable Modem, and Airport Extreme and a PS2...
I've been searching these forums, but still haven't found a setup that works for me.
I have a cable modem feeding the internet to my Airport Extreme via the WAN port. My G4 iMac is receiving that connection wirelessly. I have my PS2 hooked up to the Airport via the Ethernet port, and nothing.
I had this setup last year before having to replace my old Airport -and everything connected fine. The PS2 just saw the connection with auto settings and I was able to play.
So what, if anything, has changed with the Airport Extreme Base Stations compared to the old graphite versions?
I'm getting frustrated and need some specific setups that work, or at least some reasons why this setup isn't working.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Cable Modem, and Airport Extreme and a PS2...
Nothing has changed. To verify the LAN port on the AEBS is working, try plugging a computer into it using the same Ethernet cable you're using with the PS2. If it connects then its something with your PS2. If it doesn't connect, try a different Ethernet cable. If it connects, problem solved, bad Ethernet cable. If it still doesn't connect, there is a possibility the Ethernet LAN port on your AEBS is bad. Sounds like you just bought the unit, so I would take it back to the store to either have them test it, or more likely, just exchange the entire unit for a new one.

Well, after all that, my PS2 Network Adapter was tits-up. The same lightning that toasted the Airport and cable modem, nailed the Net. Ad.
Bought a new N.A. and everything connects just as it did before: Ethernet port of Airport connects to PS2, no extra setup -all settings on Auto.
Anybody up for some Burnout 3, ATV Offroad 2, and soon, Gran Turismo 4? PM me.
