Chrono Trigger is so easy. I was too old when I played it for the first time. But, it has outstanding music and visuals. It's also a fun game.
Chrono Cross is crap, though.

Chrono Trigger is overrated. Final Fantasy VI (III in America) is the best RPG on the system, but the overall best is probably Kirby Superstar.

Final Fantasy VI is great, but the Kefka character is pretty stupid and so is the opera scene. I'm not fond of the recycling of the same villains, either. The octopus is annoying the first time. It shows up at least twice more.
Have you played the original version of Final Fantasy IV? The American version was watered-down.
Kirby Superstar is the best RPG? Maybe for little kids.

Chrono Trigger was the best game, by far. Nothing else came even remotely close.

Final Fantasy VI was the best RPG released on the SNES. The depth of the game was enough to keep you occupied for a looong long time. There are 3 chrono triggers in FFVI. The score for the game is superb, landing in Nobuo Uematsu's prime composing period (FFV to FFVIII). It is a MASTERPIECE!!
Oh. Sorry about that, got a bit carried away. In any event, you can't really compare genres. Mario Kart was a fine game for its genre as well. Same with Zelda. But, for my idea of a good time, I'd like a timeless story.

I think that Chrono Trigger is the best game for SNES. I think it is the best game ever made actually...Well, except for WoW of coarse 
But anyway, I really enjoyed the game when I was younger. I remember it saying about 50+ hours for the amount of timed played, right after I beat it. Wow.

ok, thi message is a bit late but honestly, is murdock is the only one who hasn't lost his mind?
FFVI (III in U.S.) Is the best snes rpg and is in the definite top 5 ever. and kefka! 2nd best villan ever next to sepferoth of course.
also, chrono trigger is in the top five also
