Reduce MP3 to lower bit rate?
I'm looking for a program that I can use to lower the bit-rate on my MP3's in batch.
I can use iTunes, convert to mp3, but it's messy.
I'd like to be able to copy files to a folder, and have a program reduce the bit-rate. This way I wouldn't have to mess with my iTunes song library.
Thanks!

Well the copying files to a folder thing you'd have to use a folder action. For the actual conversion, I'm not sure which program... your best bet would be to check VersionTracker and MacUpddate. Then go into script editor and look at the scripting library of that program and write a folder action that does the conversion, and attach it to the folder. Dump all of the songs you want to convert into the folder, and boom.

I can copy the files on my own. I just need a program that will convert, it doesn't need to even delete the originals, as long as they're easy to sort out.
