CTF tricks....say CHEESE!

Collection of practical pbj for UT2k4. Maps include: Grendel, Citadel, Maul, Chrome, Novemeber, Orbital2, OrbitalClassic, and Bedrooms. Like I said, it's not just fancy stuff that gets you nowhere, it's pbj that has a purpose smile

Oh and there's some UT99 stuff too. Didn't do a whole lot of UT99 because the video capture was hella slow (took me 30 mins to capture 10 seconds of footage). Plus the song ended sad

Wanna make it even better?
You can get some great foogtage if you use quad jump mutator and something called multi dodge 2k4 mutator.  This will allow you to have as many wall jumps as you see fit.  There's a narrow hallway in DM-1on1-Idoma that's a great spot to try it big_smile  There's also a hidden area that you can get to using the mutator big_smile

My new laptop:
1.8 GHz Athlon 64 Processor
512 MBs of RAM
64 MB nVidia Geforce4 440 chipset (not shared with system ram) (hauls @$$ though big_smile)
40 Gig HD
15.4" Widescreen Display
Wireless 802.11g card (builtin)
24x CD-RW/8x DVD-ROM drive

Re: CTF tricks....say CHEESE!

Impressive.  I started working on that after I viewed the video.  it's not as hard as it looks, unless you're timing-impaired like I am. wink

you gotta have nice, huge open spaces for the best effect.  Bridge of Fate is really good.  I got fairly adept at wall-jumping from column to column.

I did have bots going when doing that. make one a much more difficult target.  I think even the bots were saying, "wtf?" big_smile

definitely low g. probably a jump hax too as I was having real trouble doing sequential wall jumps without one.

If no jump hack, then he is truly 1337 wink

Re: CTF tricks....say CHEESE!

naw, no mutators, hax, or anything. I can show ya'll sometime big_smile. It just takes figuring out, and then practicing a little bit. Then it's fun as anything to do tongue

Re: CTF tricks....say CHEESE!

You should do some crazy stuff though with multi dodge jumping, you could have real fun with that
