But does it mean anything?

They've made typos like that before.

Re: Powerbook G5 Slip on Apple's Site

why would they have an image placeholder than?  im sure apple has one or two images of the powerbook g4, so they would have an image there, not just a placeholder.

if you read the story its because that image simply serves to track traffic, not to show anything.

I don't care if it's true or not.  Apple constantly has people digging for any scraps they leave lying around... which I think is just hilarious.

'course, here's hoping it's true! cheers

Didn't Apple "slip" with the specs of the PowerMac G5, if I remember correctly?  Could this be another indicator of what's to come...or just an "accident"?  wink

Re: Powerbook G5 Slip on Apple's Site

Exactly.  I too, immeditately thought of the G5 "slip-up."  Apple got a lot of publicity out of that.  I wouldn't put it past them doing it again.

However, html code is an odd place to put an "intentional" slip-up so I doubt that that's the case.

Who the hell reads html code just looking for this stuff?  confused

I don't think it was a slip up.  I think Steve said it was, "premature specification"

Re: Powerbook G5 Slip on Apple's Site

I think - and stay with me on this one - it might be because most people touch type and the number '4' is right next to the number '5'.

Seriously. Check on your keyboard, it's the same there.
