umm... if parents don't want their children to see profanity, then they shouldn't allow their kid on the internet.. or even the computer for that matter. they should also hide the scrabble dictionary, home school their kids, and never allow them to have friends.

now, i appreciate having a filter when it can be turned off... but i don't remember there being a filter on the UBB forums, and i don't think we need one here unless it can be disabled on an individual basis.
