there were 2 wires that were grouped together.  one with a little metal L shaped connetor piece which I plugged into the card, the other was a small circular bronze looking piece which is not conected to anything.

I tried running the setup assitant again, and if I rescan it a few times, it sees the network, but can't connect to it.

Here's Apple install instructions.  looks like it is the L-shaped connector.

Maybe the antenna lead is not connected to the back of the case where your new antenna is connected.

I think this is a job for the Apple Techs.  You have put way to much effort into a very simple job.  Something is not right and it is up to Apple service to determine how to fix it.

Re: Linksys Wireless Router & Roadrunner

Well, I guess I have no choice but to do so.  Thanks a lot.

Please return to this topic with the results.  I want to know what they find.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Linksys Wireless Router & Roadrunner

I am a new mac user and considering buying a wireless router also. But I found that Linksys WRT54g is not compatible with mac OS. Is that true. In that case, I fear you made a wrong choice buying Linksys.

Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

I wish you can prove me wrong.
