DVD check to be removed from Mac UT2k4
Macsoft today gave the clearance to remove the DVD-check performed upon launching Unreal Tournament 2004 in the upcoming patch, according to Entry 2182 at developer Ryan Gordon's bug tracker site. Unlike the Mac version, the Win32 version has long had the check removed in recent patches. Gordon's .plan was also modified today to indicate that a new Mac patch is in progress, probably to be in-line with the series of Win32 beta patches (so far 3353 and 3354) reported to be in testing. The current Mac patch is 3339. There is no word yet on Gordon's Bugzilla whether VoIP, OpenAL, or Community Mods menu fixes will be implemented. Status on UTPG (99) remains unchanged.

OMG Finally.
Now I can get rid of that damn disc image I have soon.
Only one good thing about having to put the disc in, sometimes I launch 2k4 by mistake, and the disc not being loaded would prevent it..oh well.
