... I no longer have my lime iMac (266Mhz, 160Mb, 6Gb, Panther), as I sold it about a month ago... I'm actually really starting to miss it...

The G3 is my DV, graphics, web-design, and audio-editing machine, as well as being my main desktop machine for everythng else, because I hate my PC (2.8GHz, 512Mb, 40Gb, Combodrive, XP... last used over a month ago. )

The Lombard 400 is my high-school computer/iPod substitute/bling accessory that goes everywhere with me.

The Lombard 333 (my original Lombard) is being used by my folks because the battery in the PB 1400 that I gave them is pretty much cactus, and I can't really justify spending 140 bucks getting it repacked. the Lombard's broken hinges and retarded trackpad are the price one has to pay for decent batto life... (not my problem though, my Lombard's perfect... big_smile )

The PB 1400 is now basically in retirement, so I'll probably end up selling it to recover some of the cost of buying my second Lombard (the 400, which originally had the broken hinges, and was therefore cheap... I bought it when the trackpad in the 333 started getting really bad and then simply swapped out the screen/hinge assemblies, HDD's, RAM and DVD drives... meaning that I have a Lombard that is not only working properly again, but is also 66mhz faster and has a DVD-decoder chip... cool)

I used to use the PM 7600 for DV editing and graphics until about two years ago, but it just sits crunching SETI data most of the time now... but mind you, it's still makes an impressive bragging point... nod

The PM 5500 doesn't do much at all, but it was my first PowerMac, so I can't bear to part with it. I'm thinking of letting my sister use it so it isn't going to waste.

Hmmm, this would be about my third post here, I believe... shrug spam

Re: What Mac do you use?

1 ghz ibook g4 upgraded to 640 ram. While at home I also use an old 467mhz g4 tower (384 ram) for playing some os 9 games. There's an old mac se sitting in my room, a performa 6400 in the basement, a broken imac dv in the garage, a 833mhz imac(swivel screen) in my brothers room, and an old mac laptop with a black and white screen and a wheel for a mouse in my sisters room.

If I was to upgrade from my one button mouse, what would y'all recommend? theres really no point in my getting a wireless mouse if my computer didn't come with blue tooth, so whats a good choice?

Microsoft Intellimouse series. Optical, preferably. OS X will recognize it straigh away. OS 9 requires drivers for the right-button and scroll wheel, but those work just fine - odd for a MS product, but shrug

Dual 1.8 GHz Power Mac G5 (the "lemon" one, 900 MHz FSB)
1024 MB RAM
152 GB hard-drive
Nvidia GeForce 5200 Ultra

My audio system's a pair of Apple iPod mini earphones.  I use a Kensington Mouse-in-a-box Optical Elite mouse, the stock Apple keyboard, and a 17" Apple Studio Display.

And my room is HOT.  BURNING HOT.  BURNING SWELTERING HOT.  HOT.

[edit]Whoops, I have 1024 MB of RAM, not 1024 GB...
