Neither of us really watch television, so

But I get annoyed a lot of the time when he listens to NPR.  I can't stand talk radio.

I LOVE talk radio - especially the tin foil hat kind - like coasttocoastam (art bell)

You can listen to that while doing other stuff though, TV and Internet kind of take all of you.

Wife wife hates programs of the format "World's _______est _______"

We usually watch all the same things except Bill O'Reilly; he makes me want to vomit, so much so that I now sometimes use that time period to read this site:

Those are great shows, although, i tend to miss them most ol the time. I don't make a point to watch any show, but when i see those, they're great!

I said I watch Lawrence Welk only to get Mr. Downer to leave the room, and then I change the channel to stuff he wouldn't want to watch anyway.  I watch Lawrence Wlk with my mouth agape -- at the realization that life used to be like that. I thought Lawrence Welk was for grandmothers when my own grandmother watched it in the 1950's. I can't believe it's in reruns!

I like Monster Garage and American Chopper.

Lawrence Welk is a dark prince of the underworld . . .

No..Life was never like that, ever.
LW was a characature when his show was brand spanking new. All part of the fantasy world middle class whites lived in back then while the coloreds stayed in their ghettos, the queers stayed in their closets and every woman knew her place and loved it there.
LW is symbolic of the fantasy world that never existed that today's conservatives yearn for so badly.

Oh, i forgot to add, i was on Antique Roadshow. Or, at least my arm and shoulder was. I didn't get interviewed. Neither did my niece.

my fiancee has gotten over grinding her teeth when i watch sportscenter...

however, my closet/phantom habit is to turn on NASCAR on sundays for (ahem) background noise because i never would watch that (ahem)... she will leave the room screaming...

she also hates that my xm is almost always tuned to espn radio...

coasttocoast is pretty funny.  There are a few other programs I also think are funny.

I don't watch enough TV for my habits to annoy anybody.
