24" Original Design Sci-Fi Dropship Model (scratchbuilt/kitbashed)
Here's an original ship design I came up with a few years ago, and made it out of sheet plastic, balsa wood, and spare model parts. It's about 24 inches long and is built in 2 pieces, a command hull and a cargo/troop carrier section:
TOP VIEW OF COMMAND HULL ONLY:
3/4 VIEW COMMAND HULL FROM ABOVE:
BOTH PIECES TOGETHER, FROM FRONT:
CARGO/TROOP CARRIER PART:
Hatches are made from ping-pong balls, big round section is a clock face cover, other household/hardware parts used throughout.

Again, thanks. Here's part 1 of a tutorial I wrote on how to do this kind of modeling, if you're interested:

Here's a couple of shots of the cargo section's engine plant (down in the hole that's on top of the cargo pod):

That engine compartment alone took about 12 hours to build. Just wanted to make sure there was something to see when someone looked down in the hole!
