Portman incites mob to anger with a kiss ... what the hell?
Check this out!
I find the ironic part in all of this to be the fact that the Praying Wall was put there by Solomon.
So who's nuttier, the Jews, Christians, or Muslims? Can none of them tolerate heterosexual behavior very well or what?

It's the holiest site in the Jewish faith. Not to justify rioting, which is a dumbass reaction, but the idea of shooting a scene like that by the frigging Wailing Wall is unbelievably crass.
Considering the craziness in the region, I think she got off lucky.

But no, generally anything sexually overtoned is raged against in modern Christian culture in particular. You just have to pick up a publication from Focus On The Family to see that.

Anyway, I don't see why they actually went to the wall to film, especially with OBVIOUS taboos around it. Portman should know better, shes jewish, after all. Use a blue or green screen and build a bottom edge replica in England's film lots if you want to simulate the location. I mean, Portman just finished 3 freaking Star Wars films - she should have picked up a thing or two about CG.

Yes. And they could have read the signs that are posted at the security checkpoint to get to the Wall. The ones that talk about the proper behavior and modest dress that you should have, etcetera. Pretty obvious.
