Happy Birthday UT2K4!!!
Yeah, I'm a little early, but I wanted to get this out before it really happens.
UT2K4 will be a year old in a couple weeks. To celebrate lets do something on April 2nd (first Sat.). Please post ideas and what not. Everyone who visits here is welcome. I'd like to see the biggest meeting of MAers and friends in our history to happen.
My thoughts so far is to keep it open and no real plans on what is going to be played. We can use MapVote to do that. Start off with some FFA DM until we get enough peeps in to switch to a team based game type. It's a party, let's play everything!

Re: Happy Birthday UT2K4!!!
Great idea, Levi! I agree, FFA DM until a crowd forms.
After that, seeing as it's Birthday time, I would suggest playing a match, FFA or not, in every standard game type. I've NEVER played Assault online, and would like to play some ONS as well; see if I can every get into that game type.

All righty then...spred the love!
I too would love to play every game type as well.
Start off with some FFA DM, move on to our old fav CTF, then from there who knows. VCTF, Dom & AS are all good game types we often ignore.

Re: Happy Birthday UT2K4!!!
Cool beans.
DoubleDom was the only game I really played in 2k3, but somehow never picked it up in 2K4. As for vCTF, potential teammates be forewarned: Brain gets very confused switching from Halo to 2k4 driving; I suck!

I'm the opposite! Halo now feels so unnatural.

Re: Happy Birthday UT2K4!!!
Driving in Halo, for me, was intuitive right out of the box. In UT I mostly back up cliffs unintentionally and get stuck on trees; it's the primary reason I don't care for ONS as of now, other than I have the same prob with flying. I usually attract a fatal Missile Lock On in about 5 secs.

Tomha WI, eh! Hahaha! I used to deer hunt up in that neck of the woods.
Do the snowmobiles still take over Main St. when it snows?

Man it's been like a decade since I was up there last.

Another thing that might be fun to try would be ChaosUT2. I know there were issues with earlier releases on the Mac but the current release appears to be solid and I gotta say doing slash and hack can be a blast. If you want to try this I suggest dling the ut4mod file and using SantaDuck's ToolPack to install it in the Unreal Tournament 2004.app package.

haha nice nice! One of the snow mobile trails use to be like 100 feet away from my house. But then I moved!
Not so much up here anymore with the snow mobiles.
