It looks pretty much like a slightly altered iBook.

I wish he had a good pic of the ports.  I want to see if these new books have the iPod style headphone jacks, like the new iBooks do..   I'm still curious what Apple has up thier sleeve with that move...

Re: 12" AlBook, shipped, delivered, photographed

I had mixed feelings about it when I looked at the 12 when I was at Mac World SF. At first glance it looks iBookishy...and Im not sure if that is because of the form factor or what. But I can say that after my flight home this past weeken, it would be pretty nice to use as a road warrior...my 1Ghz 15" was a bit cramped...

It did however woo the girlie that was sitting next to me...however the fact that I was watching the Bab 5 season one DVDs put me right back in the Goober Zone.

I like the performance, form factor, and weight of the 12. I think its perfect for those users that we were always seeing "Should I get an iBook or a Tibook??" posts from. This is the unit for that person.

Now...the 17"...I need to spend some more time in front of that baby... smile

PS: The rest of that guy's site is awesome, too. He has a NeXTCube and some old brochures and Apple ads signed. He has a Lisa 2 and the Edison Think Different poster.

And the guy has an Audi. Man he's lucky.

We did say that, but unfortunately, there is no 12 inch TiBook.

What happened to Crusade, it was actually okay.

The creator and TNT disagreed about the direction the show should take so the show was cancelled after 13 episodes.

Wouldn't that mean that you have to make him one instead?

Re: 12" AlBook, shipped, delivered, photographed

Did anyone else notice the position of the speaker grills? If you ask me I think it is pretty ingenious. Think of how the screen lowers down and behind the main computer platform. The way the speakers are positioned they will 'fire' the sound off of the frame of the screen and reflect it straight to your ears!

Re: 12" AlBook, shipped, delivered, photographed

I've decided that I will have one within the year. I will just wait until the next minor revision for any wrinkles to get worked out. I needed a laptop at the time the iceBooks came out, that's why I couldn't wait. I just simply WANT a 12" PowerBook!
