Yes, switching to and back from Windowed Mode gets rid of the visible cursor. The shortcut for Windowed Mode is the Option-Return keys, Cee.

Move out your UT2004.ini and User.ini to someplace else. Relaunch UT2K4 and let it rebuild them. See where that leads you. If it doesn't work just move your old files back. If it does work you can open the new .inis and the old ones to do a lil cut and paste to put things back to normal or don't bother with the old ones and just reset everything in game.
