I believe in God, but I dont put much faith in the Bible. And if you tell me God sends people to hell than to me your worshiping evil. If God is Love than he wouldnt do that. Actually, Campy, you're only quoting part of the verse, just like a good Catholic... The verse actually says "Repent and be baptized." Salvation does not come from the baptism but by repentence and the acceptance of Christ as your savior and lord of your life. Baptism is merely an outward display to the world that you have been washed clean by Christ's blood. Otherwise, why was Christ baptized? Surely you cannot believe that His baptism was essential to His eternal life... and for arguement's sake, you cannot show me one place in the Bible where an infant was baptized.

There was a wonderful book/movie (wish i remembered which ...) in which a man described god as an imagenary friend for adults.... its always been my favorite description.

I never knew that people actually used that.  But, a few weeks ago, I heard someone use that crap seriously to a large group of people.  What a moron.
