Zip is definitely better, but I doubt that zipping a png/tif will save you much. But whatever. Just not RAR. It's goes raaaaaaaar and scares my Mac.

Yes, I just said that.

Zipping a .bmp will save a lot. That's the native format. When the upgrade and big new drive are running, then there'll be space for PS Elements 2.0. I've only had that since...

Whoo, alot of things to address. First, Icks, I haven't played in over a week either, and feel absolutely rotten about it. So rotten, in fact, that I'm going to spend several hours this morning playing instead of working. This is the advantage of being a freelancer. I still haven't beaten BG&E, either!

Well... we're waiting![/Caddyshack]

Bat, I didn't know you were a mac-daddy. I probably need to preen your mind for info... as-is, I'm limited to fiddling with my wife's.... equalizer endlessly and never quite satisfying her (although I'm darn close) while she wants me to quit making funny sounds. (This is a literal description of our sex life).

Well, I'm flattered; but credit where credit is due, I guess.

If only it weren't true.

I got the Unreal screenies. Durn beautiful. One of the first things I plan on doing after getting the new iMac is getting Unreal running on it. If only it had been properly OSX'ized, the way games like Hexen were.

Re: Psychonauts Countdown and Coverage

I looked at it just now, before reading your post, and thought "Did I write that?  I thought it was with an 'e'."

Good to know I can always turn to Bat for pr0n info.  hubba

Oh, and I still haven't resumed my progress on the game.  I started to play, and battled with "the mom" for a while, and realized I was no match for her awesome "Pitch Black" style combat.  So unfortunately, Psychonauts has taken a back burner until I feel I can take the time to get my smurf handed to me a few more times.  I think I may have to finally invest in some of those fluffy puff things, or whatever they're called.

Reefy, what's your progress?  Bat?  Own/Pwn the game yet?

Re: Psychonauts Countdown and Coverage

Its why I played as much as I did and got as far as quickly as I did: to hold it over Reefy's head that a guy that took extra long to get the game was experiencing so much so fast that his synapses were firing holes through his scalp.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

No, I haven't played in about, oh, two weeks now. One week of finals and stuff, and then that anniversary trip. Now, I have to catch-up on work, and see Episode III. Not to mention that my anniversary gift -- the widescreen Star Wars Trilogy DVDs -- won't watch themselves. No telling when I'll catch up, much less surpass you.

Re: Psychonauts Countdown and Coverage

Not from me.  We got back in from Kansas yesterday afternoon and spent the rest of the day at Kira's parents' house visiting with family from Florida.  Today, I got to wake up nice and early and get dressed up for her brother's high school graduation.  Its like my entire weekend was planned out for me, and I had no say in it.  Literally the entire day today is dedicated to something involving the graduation (morning = decorating hall for the open house, 2pm-whenever = ceremony, after the ceremony = open house).
