Entorage HUGE database file
There may be a COMPACT database command. In Outlook Express there is one and is normally hidden --> you have to hold down the option key or something to get it to compact / rebuild. Check your Entourage help section or glossary or index.

Rebuild the Entourage database
You should rebuild the database only if you have problems starting Entourage or viewing, opening, and storing items. For more information about rebuilding the database, see About rebuilding the database.
1. Quit all Microsoft Office programs, including Entourage.
2. With CAPS LOCK off, hold down OPTION and start Entourage.
3. In the dialog box, do one of the following:

HORY CRAP!
took my database from 24MB down to 8! I bet a larger database would gain much more.
the advanced rebuild looks iffy...
