Two Unrelated Photoshop Questions
My first question I am sure has been covered here but I cant remember it.
I have a legit copy of Photoshop 7 and I really am curious why PS is always trying to phone home at launch and quit. My default position is that I use Little Snitch to block all out going calls I don't explicitly invoke but I am getting a bit tired of PS complaining all the time it cannot connect. Is there some benefit to allowing PS to phone home? Or is it Adobe just being annoying?
My second unrelated question has to do with a function in Elements. In the quick fix mode there is a slider in the color pallet titled
"and it's not surprising that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

neil young fan eh? or maybe just fellow ohioan.... anyway
To stop PS (or any Adobe app from calling home, one "used" to be able to remove the WEB folder from Library/Application support/Adobe but it seems that it contains no items any longer. Don't know if it still works.
In PS there is a feature called "photo filter" that does something similar to temperature i would guess

I have no item called Photo Filter in my copy of Photoshop 7.
Where do you see this?
