Mystery CD
Hi,
I came across a CD when cleaning out my apartment that has me baffled. It has no label on it and I'm not sure when it was burned.
It has somekind of software on it ( I'm not sure, it may be filters for Photoshop)
When I try to open it, it says something like- "Couldn't open because application program that created it couldn't be found."
My question: Is there anyway to find out what application program created it, so I can maybe download it so I'll be able to open what's on the CD?
Thanks

Re: Mystery CD
A few starting points:
You could list some files on the CD, especially the big ones.
and the GET INFO is the basic method of revealing a file's attributes. See the FILE menu of the finder when you have selected a file. cheers

Yeah... We could've been alot more helpful to you if you'd had just told us the name of these files/apps to start with....

Re: Mystery CD
Oh, sorry. My bad.
The file names are: ADOBE_PH.EXE
FINAL_CU.EXE
ADOBE_ P2.EXE
I surmised (obviously) that they're Adobe files. But I have no clue about them otherwise. Could it be that they're for a PC, and that's why my Mac can't open them??? Thanks for anymore insight you can give me.

Re: Mystery CD
the ".EXE" indicates that they're PC apps.

Re: Mystery CD
Ahhh, well that explains it then. Looks the like the trash can for that cd then, since I can't use it. Thanks
