I'm an aggie... never thought I would ever want to go here in any state of soberness or sanity... however now I wouldn't trade it for the world...

i've stayed there for a week a time twice before for a music camp and loved it. i'd be going to study jazz, and the faculty for the jazz studies program there is great. plus it's in new orleans, and it's close to home.

I think he majored in music business. He loved the city and everything, but the atmosphere at the school was really bad. He said the school was full of a bunch of kids who couldn't handle the responsibility of life on their own. He got into some substances, and the outreach programs didn't help him do anything positive. I dunno, just a heads up.

eek, sorry to hear about that. i dunno, i consider myself to have a pretty good head on my shoulders and to be pretty responsible. that's really weird though, i've never heard that before. new orleans is just like that though...it's a crazy ass city. i guess if you get kids down there who aren't from the area it's like putting a 4 year old in a toy store...
on a side note, wtf is up with these crack addiction recovery ads on the right of the page?

Wisconsin scientists haven't discovered the internet yet? That sucks.
And if makes you feel better, I'll probably play "escape a job" for 2 years getting an MS. Hopefully it'll be at Rice, that would be fantastic, they have a cool engineering building (which is the best reason for picking a grad school).
I get my BSME in a year from Univ. of Houston.
