Ian Roberts began playing football at school - because everybody else did.
By the time he left school he had a contract with South Sydney 1985-89. In
1989 he moved clubs to play for Manly. He sat 1996 out due to the Superleague bans. In 1997 he signed with North Queensland Cowboys retiring in 1999 with a knee injury.

Ian played Front Row for NSW Blues and the Australian Kangaroos 1990-1994 and
is one of our greatest Rugby League Champions. In 1994 he gained public notoriety and great respect when he 'came out.'

Good for Ian Roberts for coming out, it's rare that a sports figure has the yarbles to do so. But again, so what? No one has made any point that, as he tries to state in the title, "gay men are effeminate". So there's nothing here to discuss.

Your inflamatory thread title says more about your attitude than anything else. YOU are the one picking a fight here. You don't even have the wherewithall to link to some idiotic news story where some jerk wails on Roberts or anyone who insists that "gays are effeminate". That point ONLY APPEARS IN YOUR THREAD TITLE. No one has said that but you and it's ONLY POINT in saying it at all is to rile people up.
