First to Fight

A friend just purchased this for his G5.  I won't delve too much into it, but does anybody else have this game?  Frankly, it feels like an alpha.  Physics errors happen all the time, lighting errors are ridiculous and the AI is downright awful.  Apparently terrorists only dress in one of two ways as well.  It's frightening that a game with so much potential could make it to market in such poor shape.

Does anybody else have the game?  Is this just some mystical bad install on his machine that has made it so ridiculous, or are my findings typical?

Re: First to Fight

Not sure what you mean by lighting errors, but I have shadows disabled. Sometimes guns go flying away from their rag dolls if that's what you mean by physics errors.

The AI isn't worse than any other game I've played. Its at least smart enough to get down when being shot at.

Overall I like it, but I wasn't really expecting it to be terrific either. For a game I spent less than $40 on, it was well worth the money.

Re: First to Fight

I think it's an great game. AI is really good if you ask me and the gameplay is very addicting. Also the graphics look really nice and play really smooth if you compare it to most other Mac games. I really love the, only if it wasn't so short.

Weird.  Maybe we got a bad install or something.  I mean, it's downright ridiculous at points.

Review at GameZone.

'In the end First to Fight does a commendable job of being a decent and entertaining FPS. The amount of FPS games on the market today is staggering and for someone looking for something new and different then First to Fight won

Re: First to Fight

I have it and I see shadow errors quite a bit actually.  Go to simulation mode if you want it to be harder.  The install does not support multi-user systems very well at all either.

Re: First to Fight

Have you got thr 1.0.1 patch? Cause that fixed some shadow and FSAA errors for me.
The game got a 8.25 out of 10 over at Inside Mac Games. I also recommend playing at simulation it makes the game so much more fun.
