Re: Web CAM
Get a firewire cam of your choice. Do not get a USB cam. The USB interface does not have the bandwidth to move video in other than tiny and highly compressed fashion.

Re: Web CAM
i think most firewire cams vary in what they can do, but i'd say 640x480 thousands of colors is easy. usb cams i'd guess around 320x240 256 color. dv cams i know run 720x480 millions of colors.
the dv cam will stream 3.6 megabytes per second to the computer who will then downsize the stream into something your internet can handle.
Warmest regards.
Sincerely,
Kevin

I second this, it's much cheaper than a DV camera and it's very easy to operate. There's even a model with a built-in mic, although I have the one without the mic it still works well. For what you need this is perfect, don't waste your money on something you don't need. Down with rampant consumerism!! Save your money!
And begin......

Re: Web CAM
mo'ron,
I hope I have that right. Anyway thank you for the kind reply. I will try that out and see how far I get. I have a web-cam but, frankly at 640*480 they are not impressive. Heck even at more they are not real great so may be my camcorder will be better?????
