Re: What 1 GB ram?
I got 2 gigs from 18004Memory.com last week for my G5 and its works fine. I was worried with such a low price how could it work well. So far (fingers crossed) its working as well as my apple memory. However, if you can afford it, go with Crucial or Apple if for nothing else than piece of mind.
this site is pretty good for comparing: http://www.ramseeker.com/
G5 Dual 2.7, 250 gig HD, 2.5gig RAM, 9650 Vid Card (X800 needs to come down in price), 20" Dell Wide Screen LCD, 18" Sony CRT

Re: What 1 GB ram?
Hope I'm not too late with this, but BE VERY CAREFUL what speed you get for the Mini.
Ask for PC2700 ram with speed ratings of 6.0 to 10.0 nanoseconds. Chips with fractional speeds (5.5ns, for example) will cause kernel panics all the merry day-long. Blame it on the screwball 167Mhz FSB and the Mini's strict cooling requirements.
PC3200 ram chips also work good, and are often more reliable than the spec'd PC2700s. I wish Apple had spec'd the Mini to use PC3200, since the ram makers are phasing out the previous gen.

Re: What 1 GB ram?
Wow, no need to listen to anyone's advice, eh? Yeah, just go off and buy the most expensive one you can find. Good choice. Even after converting the price from Australian dollars it sucks.
Crucial charges far less and makes extremely high-quality RAM. They ship internationally. You should have bought it from them.

I got a student discount by $50
In Australia, we got inflation on Australian goods and ipmorts are too expensive unless they are from south asia. so either way, right now, we are screwed.
Crucial wouldnt send me it cause they said they couldnt confirm my overseas adress. This happens alot here, so I have to buy over priced Australian crappy products
so, will this one work all right?

Re: What 1 GB ram?
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my ram today and put it in earlier. I was afraid of damaging my Mini by doing it myself, but it was so easy. If anyone is worried, well dont be.
Crack that sucker open and do it ur self.
