Can look as amazing as possible but if they don't do the game engine properly or get things right then you'd have another Ghost Recon 2 on your hands

Well Ghost Recon 3 now has an official name: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Hopefully the game will be more thought out than the title. Maybe it's just me but the title seems rather uncreative 
.

i liked ghost recon 2, i play it on xbox all the time.
it looks incredible on 360 i cant wait. Quake 4 is going to rock if its anything like quake 3 arena. gaming hasnt been the same since.

Well the Xbox version was the only version to use the original engine. The PS2 and GC versions used the unreal technology engine.
Think I saw an update on Recon 3 where it showed combat will be in 3rd person instead of 1st. Kinda like SoCom. Just making it more arcade like if they do that. Hope they don't. Will be the end of part of the realism of Recon.

GR:AW for PC will be 1st person weapon view, i'm not to sure about no-gun view like GR1.
You can watch some GR:AW PC footage by downloading this movie. This was just released a day or two ago. Granted the quality isnt to good but you can see whats going on with the graphics, etc.

You know, I've tried quite a few games on the mac and on my playstation and a lot of them were pretty fun, but I honestly have yet to find anything that I like as much as good old Ghost Recon. It's the one game that I play nearly every day and never get tired of.
