Blank box on desktop
I know this is an old problem, but I can not locate answer.
My desktop develops, sometimes at start up, sometimes later, a blank box somewhere near the center of screen. I have a flat screen iMac with OSX 10.1.5
After installing QuicktimePro, it stopped appearing for two days, now is back. I was told it is caused by a message that can not be displayed.

Re: Blank box on desktop
simplest solution, buy jaguar. I know you don't like it but, you'll be better off in the long run.

Do you have Classic running? Check System Preferences to see if Classic is selected to start automatically. I had that problem because Classic was trying to connect to a server or something, but the error message couldn't be seen, just a white box. I can't remember, but I think if you hit enter or return it'll go away.
