I have had food poisoning hospital diagnosed like 8 times, many of those from Applebees.

I ate at one all-you can-eat restaurant and got sick once, and I don't eat at that one anymore, but it's part of a chain, and I eat at another one from the same chain all of the time.

Didnt pay the 35 dollar copay that many times for the fun of it. And I don't eat there. I won't even go near one.

That place is the devil. Steer clear. They serve truly horrible food... CONSISTENTLY! (I'm a slow learner.)

I usually get my subs at Publix Supermarket. Usually nmore out of convenience than anything else.

Heh. I read this topic last night & was quickly taken back to my first sub back in grade 6 or 7. I wanted one immediately. Alas, the place exists no more. I had to settle for Quizno's tonight. Not AAA1, but still tasty. I had the Santa Fe Turkey. Bacon is such a good thing. tongue

Does food poisoning generally require hospitilization? I can puke at home just fine.

Well, think about it. First of all, they're putting in peppers when I don't want them. That's not cool. Even worse, though, it's pre made! Steak-and-cheese meat shouldn't be pre-anything, other than pre-shredded. D'Angelos cooks it there in front of your eyes... that's how it should be done.

I wish I were a Steak and Cheese God, so I could smite Subway.

I'm not sure, but I think here that the menu does allude to ingredients other than steak and cheese. Other than that, I brand you steak and cheese snob.

Either that or I'm just loose in a steak and cheese kinda way.

What do you expect? The place is barely a notch above McDonalds on the restaurant quality hierarchy. You can't expect too much for $20.

Of course it does! I mean, how else are they going to pump your stomach and then screw it up and accidentally suck out your liver and kidneys and bladder and have to replace it with monkey parts so that's why you hang from trees and eat bananas? Hmm? Explain that one to me?

Lol. We need to get this guy and Zammy together. I'm guessing the clash would generate a giant swirling black-hole vortex that sucks in reality and destroys it in a blinding flash of energy. You do if you wanna nail that particular restaurant with the health inspector and/or prove to your boss why you really called off after your anniversary. The two applebees nearest our house got closed down after repeated food poisoning outbreaks. Then they got nailed for other various things...I dont know. After 4 different times at Applebees alone, I should have avoided them after the first but I dont know. I thought maybe they were isolated incidents. Evidently not.

I have gotten several bouts from a variety of different chinese restaurants, and the last one was from Max and Ermas in Cranberry Twp, PA. That experience was so bad that I won't even go past that one at this point. Luckily we have only one of those evil places in STL. I know alot of customers used to get it from Bob Evans in Cranberry too. I worked there. It was always from Chicken or Turkey. That and I really don't think those cooks washed their hands well. I know the managers didnt. *gag*

I never ever want my stomach pumped again. I aint a fan of puking but I would much rather do that. I had to get it done one time from alcohol too. I was such a dumbass in college (ok, Im ready for it....let me have it)

..yeah, that may be true, but there are some places that I dont mind eating for 20$- I am a big fan of the outback steakhouse, and OTB isnt bad for some "authentic" mexican wink

OTB? I like Don Pablos and Casa Gallardo (depending where I am--PA or MO) But thers a place around MO called El Maguay. No one speaks any english and its got nice funky water. wink

Outback is the bomb. I like their ranch dressing on their regular salad...its got some kind of spicy stuff, chili powder maybe?, mixed in. YUM. I usually end up eating a few of the salads at my table(sister and brother and ex didnt care for salad much) and the brown bread and by the time my chicken gets there I am full. The one near our house is on to my sister for "stealing" up to 3 loaves on our way out.
When I was growing up whenever we would go on vacation we based our hotel locations on where outback was. If there wasnt one within a half-hour drive we didnt stay there. No smurf. big_smile

Their bread is awesome... My family, though, has stolen knives from there.. A true class act. The other thing I love is the Bloomin' onion, but it is so big that it really kinda gets to you after awhile. OTB is on the border. It is similar in atomosphere to an outback, but they serve mexican food.

smurf I forgot abotu the onion. I don't eat much of that though. One small hunk is enough usually. Priorities.

I know, I know...Thats was really cheesy. Not all of us are genetically blessed to be built like refrigerators big_smile . There is an idea for a thread- Kitchen appliance that you most resemble.
