B&W G3 HD question.
I just got a 160GB HD and am planning on putting it into by B&W using a ATA133 controller that's "in the mail". I know that the built-in ATA33 controller can't see past 128GB, but can a PCI IDE controller see past 128GB in a B&W. Since I'm running Tiger, I know the OS can do it. (Yeah, silly question, but I gots to know now, rather than when the card arrives)

Re: B&W G3 HD question.
As long as the PCI controller itself can see over 137GB (which as far as I know, all ATA133's can) then it will work and your B&W will be able to see the whole drive.

Re: B&W G3 HD question.
It's purely a hardware issue. ATA controllers up to the ATA-5 spec (ATA/66) cannot address more than 128 GiB (approximately 137 GB). This was fixed in the ATA-6 (ATA/100) spec, and while some ATA/66 controllers (but not Apple's) can address larger drives, all ATA/100 and faster controllers can.
Your OS is not an issue; Mac OS has been able to address volumes of many terabytes in size since the days of System 7.
