Hula Girl!!

There's a contest over at dashboard widgets for a Mac Mini, and the widget with the most votes wins.  A vote requires that you register and that you to click the "VOTE FOR THIS WIDGET" button, which is only visible to those who are logged in.

I'm one of the folks behind the Hula Girl widget, and I'd really appreciate your vote.

It's also worth pointing out that you can download the latest version of the widget, which comes with a few new features.  The animation is much smoother, the file size is cut in half, and you can set it up to Hula all the time, or only when iTunes is playing.  The iTunes option will even alter the speed depending on the tempo of the song that is playing (if the beats per minute field is filled out in the song's info tags).

We're always looking for suggestions to make Hula more fun, so we'd love to hear those too.

Anyhoo, we'd really appreciate it if you voted in the contest.  We'd really appreciate it a whole lot more if you vote for Hula Girl, but it's your vote, so do what you must.

Thanks!

By the way, the site doesn't verify your email address so you don't have to enter a real one if you register to vote.

Hula girl is the only useful dashboard widget I've seen. I'll vote.

Re: Hula Girl!!

If you're going to post a widget, please let us know what it does.  I downloaded the "Benny" widget and yes it is funny, but I don't really want it on my system, so now I have to go and delete whereas if I had known that all it did was play the Benny Hill song I wouldn't have downloaded it in the first place.

So, again, please post what the widget does if you are going to post it in the forums.

Oh yes, a long time ago.  It remembers your settings now, it also remembers the new settings that are available.

Hey Roo... you don't have a link in your initial post.  Where do we go for this again?

More useless Widget, ever.

At least make it into a smurfing clock, or something useful, for sh1t sake.

Anyway, I hate Tiki nonsense.  Ban the ugly mainstream kitsch, pronto.

Re: Hula Girl!!

It is at least entertaining and well done.  There are significantly more useless widgets.  (mine for example, the Golden Girls one, the sticker ones, etc..)
