Petter's new OpenAL recompile
PetterF, whom you might know from UT2k4 and AA betatesting (or as the mac guy on the Tactical Ops team) has made a go at fixing and recompiling Ryans rev74 OpenAL.
Actually he's done two versions:
I have now compiled two different versions of the rev 74 of Ryans source, optimized for the G4 and the other for G5 processors.
The first build is a plain OpenAL dylib with voip support and the second is a feature full version with voip, mp3 and vorbis support.
I have not had time to test them that much at all - thats why I ask you to be brave
If you want to test them out, please check out the OpenAL from Ryan's source thread, and post feedback there.

Re: Petter's new OpenAL recompile
I was brave..but I don't see a difference so far on my G5 with surround sound speakers.
Edit: Guess I should say I don't 'hear' a difference. - What should I be looking for? So far the game is stable with no crashes. I used the 'full' version for G5 with VoIP, mp3 and OGG.
