I want to post a small rant on the use of personal pronouns.  Maybe it's all women, maybe it's just my wife.... but I hate the way that they try to disguise unpleasant sentences with clever use of personal pronouns.

"We need to take out the garbage tonight" - we, huh? - well, YOU have not taken the garbage cans to the curb in several years.  I take out the trash.  What you are really saying is "You need to do this now" - a command, softened by using a plural pronoun.

"We need to get gas in my car" - Really, WE do?  Well, you have pumped your own gas twice since you married me, and that was because I was out of town.  So, are WE going to do this together.

"We need to save money" - WE do - I have been trying to buy a 512 meg ram stick my MY g4 for over four months.  YOU have been buying a new dress every other week druing this time.  WE do not need to save money - YOU DO!!!

And then it comes to showing off "Look what I did" - Excuse me, who did ... I think that I did most of the work, and you just kept saying "WE needed to get it done" - now that its done, who did it ?" "Oh, I guess WE did it"

AAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!    

If I didn't love her, I would have to kill her.  (not really)

People are mental.

I dated a girl who turned out to be married.  She told me she loved me on our second date, and when we were out to eat I saw her ID was a military dependent ID (spouse) so I got pissed and told her she was to get out of my life.  She said she was leaving him anyways and begged me to keep seeing her, but I didn't.  A couple weeks later I found out her husband found out she was cheating on him and he killed himself with a handgun.  A couple weeks after that she collected $500,000 in insurance and paid me a visit in a new corvette and said "don't you wish you were still with me now?"  and then, looking into her cold greedy eyes, I realized it probably wasn't suicide, but murder.

Yikes that is insane.

Women...they are indeed Mental.

I'll never marry. 3 in 5 fail they say and I'll bet it's worse than that. Just look around you. Friends, family, stories you've heard.

Not me baby, my life is SO MUCH easier being single. More time, more money, less hassle.

Women are a MAJOR pain in the Ass. For the little bit of trim you do get the trade offs are almost not worth it.  If they manage to trick you into marrying them you can expect the ammount of sex you get to drop like a rock. Ask any idiot who's been fooled.

I have to agree that most women are indeed mentally unstable, they really are... it's the hormones.

You say this like you yourself, or indeed the rest of us males, don't have hormones, or are somehow above them. Which is obviously untrue, if you've studied any human biology at all. So you either need to learn more, or try and replace what seems to me to be a horribly unfounded sexist attitude.

Men are not above their hormones, but we are expected to supress our hormonal tendencies. Men aren't supposed to let their eyes wander for a minute. Ever. But our hormones are designed to have as many sexual encounters as possible, so that we're sure our genes are passed on to the next generation. (Which works since we don't have to provide for two people for at least nine months, ending with a painful, possibly fatal, experience.)

Testosterone also makes men much more agressive than women. But it's not socially acceptable to be picking fights with people. Men have to control their hormones to keep from decking the assh*** who just looked at our girlfriend, or stole our parking space, or cut in front of us or...

So when a woman, like my fiance, says that her hormones are out of control, I take it with a grain of salt. Their hormones are not out of control, society accepts when a woman lets her hormones get the best of her. This is unfair, but so is the fact that women get paid 75

And while I would never imply that I know what it is like to be a man, I would expect the same from men.  You do not know what it is like to be a woman, nor will you ever.

Respect that.

I believe that you have made an over simplification of the sex drive. While having many sexual encounters would insure that more children are created, it does not ensure that those children would survive to adulthood, by which I mean reproductive age.

Even in todays world of early puberty, a male or a female still must live to the age of 12 to merely procreate. And a twelve year old with a child rarely has the capacity to fend for itself as well as it's newborn child.

We have family systems and tribes and communities to support these occurences, but I do not believe that it is mere moralistic whim that we have evolved as a species a predominant system of monogamy. When you are in a monogomous relationship, you have a support network, even if it's just two. It's this support network more than random sexual encounters that ensures that your genes don't get passed on merely to the next generation, but to generation after generation.

And perhaps men aren't supposed to let their eyes wander. But by those same rules, neither are women. I've known a very many jealous men in my time, as I have known many jealous women. Jealousy and what constitutes proper behaviour in this way is not genetic or hormonally controlled, but I feel a majority learned behaviour.  They are social rules that we instill in our children. So, it shouldn't matter if you are men or women, and let your eyes wander. It's what you and your partner have worked out, or been taught, that regulates that action, and not your gender.

But we don't disregard this testosterone, we redirect it, into so called civilized recreation, such as sports and competetive video games. It is no secret why more men than women prefer FPSs as a style of video game. They are popular among men because they allow us to work out that aggression, without violating social mores.

Sports like football and hockey have been gaining prominence over baseball in recent years, and I see that as no secret either. As it becomes less and less acceptable to work things out violently, or be violent, sports that include violence become the outlet for these things. Even watching a football game helps one work out the aggresive tendencies because one substitues the actions of their team for their own aggression.

So when a woman, like my fiance, says that her hormones are out of control, I take it with a grain of salt. Their hormones are not out of control, society accepts when a woman lets her hormones get the best of her. This is unfair, but so is the fact that women get paid 75
