This is the most ridiculous thread. I think there is something to be said about a person who keeps getting involved with and attracting these psychos.

I don't blame my cycle for my psychotic personality.
I also don't spend any money on dresses. Jeans and cargos maybe, both of which I am quite sure I dont need. God knows Express loves me.  Or tennis shoes. I have like a bazillion pairs of all.  And most are scattered around my room. And I have a tendency to spend money on metal and ink when I know its available to blow. Just ask Discover card.

I think Geese made the best point.   Women are insane. Men are pricks.

While a guy will justify his wandering eye using this point, he has no idea how much it hurts to watch your man checking out that girl at the mall you KNOW is hotter than you.

I guess this was both a telling point for me, in that I could understand the emotion behind it.

But, it is also something that I want to argue, because it presumes that "looking hot" is the end all and be all of being a woman.  IT AINT. And it presumes that men are superficial.  There are 3 billion women in the world and most of the are in one way or another beautiful. (yes, there are exceptions, but they may have a great personality  )

I guess I am trying to say, that in some way that girl across the mall might be pretty, or even perfect ... that does not make her perfect for your man.  The combination of personalities, mutual interests, life goals, sexual attraction, everything really, is what makes people perfect for each other. 

Looking at someone is nothing close to the same thing as building your lives together.

people that build their relationships on nothing more than "They are hot" are the ones who make the divorse rate so high.

I dont usually care if they check out girls in public, I am one of those that does it too and points em out.  I dont like a guy who belittles me in public then when we are alone tries telling me that those same things he just said he hates about me are what makes him love me. "That girl probably doesnt have any tattoos" "Oh I love that tattoo, so sexy" *rollseyes*

I also have a problem with guys who are constantly online checkout out webcams and stuff like that, my ex did that constantly. Its how he met the other girl. Ironic.

Not all guys are a waste of my air. But there's alot that I haven't met yet to prove that theory is correct.

There's a great quote from Chris Rock...  can't recall it exactly, so I'm paraphrasing:

Any man can walk up to another man, and regardless of the race, religion or culture of either...  if the man says "women are just messed up!" he's found a friend.

It's soooooo true!  Not that we aren't bizarre in our own way.

Funny how all the men in this thread are bitching and moaning about women, and it never occurs to them that maybe they should take a little responsibility for the psycho women they chose to be with.

Most of us do, they transform later little by little though. They start off fine but as they get comfortable with you they slip into mental mode. When they see you're PW'd it's all over. Seriously.  Then if you're stupid enough to actually MARRY them the real "fun" starts because they know they have you by the short hairs. Want even MORE fun? Have a kid with them before it's over, then being screwed is a complete understatement.

Marrage is an institution and you have to be crazy to be in an institution.

I always figured that the reason you often get blokes complaining about how mental women are is because women are the gender they most often want to stick their willy in.

On men/women and getting hired for jobs.

In my experience, if a woman is hiring, and one of each sex goes for the position, if they are both qualified, the woman will get it. Women just enjoy working with other women more.

If a man is hireing, and one of each sex applies for the position, if they are both qualified, even to the point of the man is 110% qualified, and the woman 90% qualified, if the woman is even mildly attractive, the woman will get it. Men like to be around hot women. That she can do the job is a bonus.


No one ever tied the claim of 'slept their way to the top' for a man.

Sadly, in my job field, I've seen toooooo many times, where two people went for a position, the one with the tits and long blond hair got the job.  And these were all computer tech/help desk positions.

         One time, it was a tech job position, the girl had a degree in 'networking' and had NO tech experience at all, even to the point of having to ask questions on how to install programs, whereas the other person going for the position had no degree, but had been working part-time at that job for 4 months, had already worked on the machines, knew the people, knew the job, knew where the buildings were, had ALREADY shown that he could handle the job easily, and had at least  5 years experience with being a tech, knew mac/windows/'nix. The woman knew barely windows alone, what she picked up in the networking classes.  The person hiring was a woman.  The blond was a shoe-in. Infact, when she was hired into the full-time position, the male tech, who was part-time had to train her. He was asked, to train the person that took the position. Because the people who hired her needed her trained. Think about that. He was VERY ANGRY. "Please train this person who needs training because she is obviously not capable of doing this job that you have been doing for months, so you can continue to get paid at less than half of her pay, and you're only allowed half of her hours, ect.

as a side note, that woman, quit 3 months later, so she could get paid 2k more at another job that she ALREADY applied to before this tech position, she was just waiting for it to go through. She was married and her husband was making good money.

The male tech NEEDED that job, and at the time his roommates had moved out, and he couldn't afford to keep his apt if she stayed at that job. He would have had to quit and get a fulltime job somewhere else.(we found out later it was true, she was hired because the 'upper management' wanted a nice pretty smile to go to the 'important clients', not some overweight guy who has stubble')


Women can claim all day that they get paid less than a man at the same position(if they are right or wrong, it doesn't matter).

But how many men do you see going to interviews with the top buttons on his shirt open, and a short kilt on, and almost guarrantee himself that job?(outside of the chipendales(sp))

No, I don't hate women. Yes, I am engaged. And my fiancee will happily agree to everything I just said.

just a view from my experience

The very fact that women are being hired for tech jobs is a smurfing victory in my opinion.  The system isn't perfect but at least it's opening up.

You're right, it was much harder for a woman to get a job as a computer tech back in the 20's and 30's.

I will agree with you on this one. I have seen examples of a male manager filling his staff with eye-candy.

I had exactly that situation at my previous job. We had a barely post-teen smurf there who would mess up databases and the like (causing the other women to waste days of work repairing her mess), yet the guys in management loved her because she'd parade around half-naked all the time. It was funny watching the fat balding old men take detours to walk past her cube just to peer down her blouse.

Nasty, spoiled, self-important little snip she was; everyone hated working with her (or rather, working late so we could finish projects she'd messed up), she spoiled morale, and yet she had great job security. I think she eventually quit to work as a "cocktail hostess" (stripper) somewhere.
