Circuit Board is Sci's forum, and if you had looked at his status on AIM you would have seen that he has been "Away" for the whole morning. Remember, the mods and admins here are all volunteers not MacAddict employees. They have lives and jobs beyond these forums.

Did you try looking at both posters' profiles to get any IM info they may have and then working it out that way?

Re: Duel Standard?
I only post in this manner because
1) I have gotton BS e-mails on sig & pic sizes.
2) Sci decied to put me on blast in the forum about the size of a pic with thunderstruck playing brown nose with his 2 cents. but then posting in that link where the pics of MS new web browser are over sized and seeing no problems there.
that's why I'm pissed!

Okay, what do you mean by this:
Now I get and open this link, the pics over flowing into ads on the page not to mention that Joseoscare reposts the pics edited at the same size and nobody says anything? WTF???!!!!
Pics overflowing? I don't see pics overflowing on the IE7 thread and that first post seemed to have been rather quickly edited with resized pictures.
I was commenting on whoever posted those two links on the Mactel thread because they give you an error thanks to the extra close bracket after the filename. I never got to see your unedited post so I don't really have a clue what you're angry about.

I think Sci just edited the images you posted and made them links, but made a slight typo by leaving a closing bracket "]" in one of the URLs, so Thunderstruck simply commented on and corrected Sci's typo.
Also, if another mod did see the posts, a lot of mods don't like messing with threads in other mod's forums. Although, they still do it on occasion. Remember, you can't expect one person (another mod) to react consistently with another person (ScifiterX). ScifiterX was also busy yesterday, and I don't think I tried to talk with him Saturday. I think he just has a lot to do in real life for the past few days or something.
If it's that big of a deal to you, try contacting the poster's themselves in a polite manner.
PS- If Thunderstruck sees this thread, it won't be for a few hours because he's in Australia.

You do realize that whether or not an image "overflows" depends on the users setup and browser config, right?
For example, I'm on a 15" PowerBook (1280x854) with the browser taking up the full width except for the Dock on the left. I'm using Firefox with the Sage sidebar, blocking the ads (including the space they occupy), and using the mattAddict theme which sets a max-width on all images so that they don't overflow (Oxygen, the default theme, also does this). Thunderstruck didn't say "I don't see any pics." He said "I don't see any pics overflowing."

Re: Duel Standard?
Yeah sorry. Family business all weekend, including a garage sale, so I was only on a bit here and there and as a result missed a lot of stuff.
As skee surmised, the ] in the link was a typo.
I'm limited to 1024 x 768 resolution on my iMac DV and have listed in my Rules page that anything wider than my screen gets automatically edited when I see it. (The largest images are supposed to be are 450 x 450 unless larger sizes are cleared for a topic.)

Re: Duel Standard?
Hey dude, obviously you got some misplaced anger because I got nothing to do with your post being edited by Sci. Look at my post again and you can clearly see I quoted your post AFTER Sci had them edited, so I didn't see the original version of THIS post.
and when I said
that first post seemed to have been rather quickly edited with resized pictures.
it was because he had them edited even BEFORE Sci's edit today. When I saw that post, the pictures were all within the width of the thread space.
Look at the time it was posted: 2005-06-26 8:11 am
and look at the edit tag: Last edited by mac-user (2005-06-26 8:17 am)
He had them edited within 6 minutes and as far as I was concerned, the pictures didn't overflow so I don't see your problem. If the date and hour seem to be off, that's because I set the timezone to match my local time.
I don't recall seeing any specific setting regarding picture placement on this board so I have no idea how you can see them overflowing apart from maybe how your browser handles PunBB.

It depends on the stylesheet (theme). There are different stylesheets to choose from and some of them prevent overflow and some don't.
What theme do you use, Ceemkm?

Yes, but wouldn't "Russian duelers" be more fun to watch?

Hey... Yeah, they are!
Why didn't I think of that? I guess that's why they pay bb the big bucks.
