old school apple MIDI interface...

well what do you think? i got this OLD old old school MIDI interface made by apple. it has one serial (like modem or printer) port. and to fatty MIDI cables coming out..

     well i gotta MC-303 I'm trying to access as a sound module, I'm using an upgraded 7600 (now a g3) protools free.. & OMS 2.3.8
     problem is going through the OMS setup reveal nothin. I cant get the 303 nor can i tell if its even seeing the midi box..
   MIDI guru's this is to you.
   help?

You'll have to forgive me I'm not in front of my rig to look at OMS.
Off the top of my head, did you create a Sttudio Setup in OMS?
Add the interface and the instrument. Set the instrument to the MIDI channel you want to use.
OMS has a "Test Studio" mode that allows you to click on the instrument in you Studio Setup you should hear random sounds from the instrument, and if the interface has a MIDI recived indicator light, that should flash.

thats the issue i'm having its not recognizing the midi interface in the OMS setup.. let alone any device i atach to it..
   

  so what should I do.. try the older midi drivers from apple? will those even werk in protools?
