Hosting a game
Ok so I like to play w/ dlbs and xmod 5, but usually no one is hosting a server w/ these mods so...I start one. Ppl can come in the room fine, but when I start the game, I'm there but no one else is. (and I know there are ppl trying to get in cuz they are in the room...) Does this have something to do w/ my router settings, etc? I'd really like some help cuz I'd love to be able to host
...but hey, what do I know

Re: Hosting a game
hmmm, choices choices choices. Which thread do i answer? hehe
Yes it sound like you don't have your ports open.
You need to go into your router settings/port forwarding and open up port 2346 for Ghost Recon.
If you don't know how to get to your router settings, just google it. Do a search for your router and model number. example, i would look for mine by typing "2Wire Router Port Forwarding".
Hope this helps.

ah yes, check to see if your firewall is turned on.
open system preferences and go into sharing, u can add the 2346 open port or just turn your firewall off.
If all else fails either, go into your router settings and turn on your DMZ and open all ports, or plug your computer straight into the modem.
