Re: University
since your so gung-ho about it, go read my old rantings on how to not be the annoying as smurf freshman who everyone older hates because you do something so stupid the school creates more rules and regulations.

Re: University
like the dumbass upperclassmen last year who shot some kid with a smurfload of BBs and got the university to declare all frats permanently dry? I'm good at keeping my head down, when necessary

Re: University
I was thinking more like the freshman who drank too much and fell off a 2nd floor balcony and put himself in a coma before he even attended a single class. The university and city used it as an excuse to needlessly crack down on drinking and general good-time-having thanks to one moron who thought his tolerance was about 15 drinks higher than it was.

Was that at Cal?
There have been a couple of freshman drinking incidents at cal over the last decade.
Since it is illegal to drink under 21, though - I don't see why new policy was needed.
OTOH if the party's won't police the drinking age themselves, someone has to.

Re: University
UW-Madison. In the state where brewing/drinking beer is part of the very fabric of the culture, the school has decided to use any excuse to punish people for having fun in the last 3-4 years. You would think they would have given up after being ranked a top party school on US News and Reports, Playboy and Top Sports Campuses from ESPN for years now.
