etpub client is a client-side mod that fixes a few bugs with ET.  More info:

The server still runs etpub, and all of the features that come with it are still there.

Did some more research, and it looks like the service pack 1 update for windows 2003 I applied made a slight change to the network code in windows that might be the cause of the problem.  I'm looking into a workaround now.

sp 1 or the etpub client?  I think they were installed around the same time.

Would setting my rate possibly help? Right now mine is set to 25000. I am on DSL with an upload of just over 300kbps (actual tested) ...of course that is split in half when I share the connection with jennie. I also cranked my hunkmegs to 512 last night. (Don't think that's too high for 896mb total RAM)

I also found a nice way to see all the different variables in the console. Say you want to look through all the cg_ variables. All you have to do is type cg_ and then hit the tab key. All the variables starting with cg_ will then be listed along with their current value. You can scroll up and down the list with your mousewheel. May be common knowledge, but I just found out so I figured I'd share.

I'll set it back to 256. I never run any other programs while Wolf is on so I have no reason to drop it to less than that. Even if it never gets used.

Try turning on your lagometer (if u haven't already done so) and see what it shows. /cg_lagometer 1.  For a good connection the top line should be blue and the bottom line green.  The lines should also be skinny.  If your lines are coming in yellow or red your getting a bad connection.

Hunkmegs can/should be set up to 75% of your available memory. If you don't utilize sufficient memory, you can experience lag even over a broadband connection. I experienced this problem firsthand when I was running with 256Mb of memory.  Once I added an additional 512Mb, and set my hunkmegs to 576Mb, it was smooth sailing.

I'm running an ibook G4 with a 1.07 GHz processor, 512 MB Ram, and i think that has the ATI Radeon 9600??, and I am having a real choppy experience with ET.  Is my machine just not qute fast enough to run this game online.  I am looking into buying a desktop, and I would appreciate anyone's suggestions as far as what I should get so that my online gaming experience is all that it can be.
