i think it would be fast enough if you turned down some of your video settings. although i run a dual 1ghz g4 desktop...

My wife runs an iBook exactly like yours. I believe the graphics card is a Radeon 9200. The game chokes because of the CPU more than the GPU. When you play I recommend that you set all of your graphics to lowest. (Using a resolution of 1024x768)
Also ..do these commands in the console (enter console in the game by hitting ~) ..then type these exactly as they are below
/set com_hunkmegs 256
/set com_zonemegs 32
/set cg_wolfparticles 0
/set cg_atmosphericEffects 0
/set cg_fastSolids 1
/set cg_shadows 0
/set cg_marktime 0
/set cg_brasstime 0
/set cg_coronas 0
/set cg_coronafardist 0
/set r_picmip 3
/set r_texturebits 16
/set r_colorbits 16
/set r_depthbits 16
/set r_detailtextures 0
/set r_stencilbits 0
/set r_simplemipmaps 1
/set r_subdivisions 999
/set r_fastsky 1
/set r_drawsun 0
/set r_dynamiclight 0
/set s_khz 11
some of these settings may already be at the correct number once you set the graphics to "low" in the game ...just making sure they get changed.
Also, if you want to see your frames per second type this in the console
/set cg_drawfps 1
If you do all of this, the game will look like crap, but it will run quite well on your iBook! All that matters is that you can see the people to shoot them!
