Safari and css

http://sage_of_minerva.tripod.com/index2.html

I have a website here that I've been trying to put CSS on for a while. The page views just fine in Internet Explorer (With the exception of the font being white) but when I try and view it in Safari, none of the styles show up. Is this a Safari problem, HTML/CSS problem, or (vague possibility) a Tripod problem? Thanx.

Re: Safari and css

The problem is bad commenting.  The problem occurs in Moz for Win as well.  If you look in your header, there is a block of comments by Homepage studios right above your meta tags.

The problem is they end with a "-- >"  not at "-->"  there is an extra space in it meaning it is not closed.  All your meta tags and css ref are commented out essentially. You need to lose that code or at least close it before your meta tags.

Re: Safari and css

Thank you very much! I really don't like tripod, but I've had trouble finding another host that doesn't crash. big_smile
