Re: columbia "debris" on ebay.

It won't last long because they were saying on the news that it's a federal offense to even touch the debris at this point.

Re: columbia "debris" on ebay.

I wonder if that person actually would have paid 99 million dollars for that if they had won the auction...

Re: columbia "debris" on ebay.

not to mention that I highly doubt that the space shuttle would have an injection valve.

This was an incredibly stupid hoax.

Re: columbia "debris" on ebay.

While I agree that this was stupid, I don't think it was a hoax.

He said he found it in his backyard about an hour after the shuttle exploded.  That is quite possibly true.
He said he found it at 50

Re: columbia "debris" on ebay.

It's like no aircraft part I've ever seen.

I agree it's a sprinkler part. Not some "fuel injection valve".

The shuttle uses high pressure turbine pumps ant the injectors certainly are NOT plastic.

Try German spirit in this case.

And yes, quake.ger@IRCNet is a real chat room. In their subject line is this link:
http://en4cer.ionichost.com/ebay.html

It was a very odd, very insensetive type of spam.
