Re: Taking in the fall?
Let's see...
AP Biology
AP English 4
AP American Government
AP Behavioral Studies
AP Calculus
Spanish 5
In addition, I'll be preparing on my own for the AP test in Physics.
I'm going to be busy as hell my senior year, but god dammit it'll be fun.

My definition of fun is when my brain begins to ache and I have sudden urges to kill people. Yes, I know it's odd, but god dammit it works.

Senior year of HS...yay! I'll be taking:
-Novice Debate
-Academic Enrichment (smart kid study hall)
-AP Macro Econ
-AP Physics B
-Sociology
-Easy English 4 (i'm taking the AP English Lit test tho - i just got a 4 on the AP English Lang test)
-AP Calc AB
-AP Comp Science AB (Java) [second semester]
-AP American Government (non-comparative)
mmm fun year - I should have about 28-34 credit hours finished before I even start college though :-).
I might as well tell you now, after advising incoming freshman this summer, that a vast majority of AP credit isn't worth crap. Part of the process involves having the kid write down what AP tests they have taken and the scores they got (useful for the major stuff like Calculus and US HIstory). More than once someone has boasted having 30 credits or whatever, and then are a little weirded out when I tell them that they're not necessarily useful credits.
And how are you taking 9 classes in one semester? My high school had 8 periods/day, and 1 was lunch.

Depends on your school, sumi. Tho odds are if the APs were necessary to get into the school, they won't take them for credit. (oh what delicious irony...)

Re: Taking in the fall?
My school takes a good number, though the kids I've dealt with have a very exotic list. A engineering student or two has listed AP World History which is only useful if you're a history major. It's not a core requirement and certainly not in any engineering degree flowchart.

Only the AP test scores are really good for anything here. I wish I had taken regular classes instead - would've been a lot less effort.

I didn't have fun cause of my classes, but last year (senior) I went on two school trips, one to disneyworld, and one week after I got back I went to Scotland.
You're supposed to relax second semester senior year.

of course not. but taking AP Lit/english/history/econ classes lets you not have to take those classes in college. I'm in engineering and because of APs I have a load of breath requirements out of the way and can take whatever the hell I want along with 2-3 core classes a semester instead of worrying about how I'm going to pass a professor's comparative lit class 2 years after I was assigned to read a work of fiction.

Re: Taking in the fall?
They won't let me sign up for courses yet (have to wait 'til I get there), but I'll surely be taking an IHUM (Intro. to humanities...
) and then some math + physics stuff.
I have been asked to remove my infamous Avatar by a moderator, and I shall reluctantly comply.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Indeed? You want to end up like Phydeaux? Good lord.
Go watch some Scrubs. Namely the "My Old Lady" episode.

I'm the same way, I only have a few AP tests mildly related to my major (engineering): Bio, physics, and calc AB; the rest of them are far off: English, World History*, US History*, Modern European History, Gov't, Comp Politics.
* = AP credit as well as 3 units per semester (4 semesters total)
My school didn't offer too much in the way of tech, so i just took what other stuff interested me...

Linguistics 7 (GE)
Music class on Techno (GE)
CSE 20 (Discrete Mathematics)
Phys 2D (Quantum Mechanics & Relativity)
Phys 2CL (physics lab for the previous quarter's physics; hey, it was full last quarter, there is no 2D lab, and I need to take a physics lab)
All in all it should be an easy quarter. It'll give me time to work on my own programming projects that I'm working on.
