Maybe it's a really long cycle

While some of this maybe true, I didn't ask my wife to screw around with one the the young guys that work for her and leave me and the kids. There are things in your life that you just can not control the start of but since you can somewhat control how you come out of most situations you should always try to come out being a better person for it.

Believe it or not, not everything can be controlled.

I choose not to believe.  When you walk out the door and get shot by a drive by, was it not your choice to walk out the door? Oh but you had to go to work? Was it not your choice to get a job? and on and on and on...Unless you lack the ability to make your own decisions, everything is under your control.

To argue weather or not every thing is your choice.  ie: You walk out the door and get shot by a drive by.  You can choose how bad your life sucks.  You can choose how much your life is great.  So while we can't control the people around us, we can control us.

If you have been in a downer for six years, you need to climb out, no one can get you out.  Get over it and get on with life

So? You did not choose to get shot. Learn a little logic, the walking through the door was not part of the cause and effect you tried to make up there.

You didn't work through that door reasonably expecting to be shot, w'rk. That's tantamount to telling a rape victim it was their choice and therefore their fault.
